Hank Williams Jr., the singer of the famous “Are you ready for some football” opener each week for Monday Night Football been dropped due to a comment made about President Obama.

Reuters reports Williams appeared on a Fox News segment Monday. During his interview, he discussed President Obama’s golf outing with House Speaker John Boehner.  The interviewer asked his thoughts on the match, and Williams reportedly stated, “Come on! It’d be like Hitler playing golf with Netanyahu.” He then referred to Pres. Obama and Vice President Biden as “the enemy.”

The comment sparked much outcry, and ESPN decided to drop Williams from their show opener.  ABC News reports that Williams has since been trying to defend his statement, and that many fans are calling for his return. You can see that report in the video box above.
