FLINT -- A street concert was held Friday night in Flint at ABC Tire as a tribute to 13-year old Misty Kurmas.
Misty was killed September 28th when she was hit by a man in van being chased by police.
She was walking to church and was hit near the intersection of Tobias and Saginaw Streets across from ABC Tire.
Street ministry group, Set Soldiers Free, sang and held a church service starting around 6:00 p.m.
"Misty's mom told me 'my little girl never made it to church' and I said 'we're going to have church for her tonight,'" said tribute organizer Shari Matthews.
Dozens of friends and family came to show support.
"Misty was loved a lot. She went to any church she could get to. Any church that would take her. She was on her way to see God," said Misty's mother Martha Walker, still visibly distraught.
"It means a lot to us, everything the community has done. It shows that people really do care," said Misty's sister, Samantha Paul.
The alleged driver in the deadly accident, 28-year old Mark Blount ,is being held without bond in the Genesee County Jail awaiting charges.
