A beloved Flint philanthropist will be remembered in a big way this week.

A 40 foot tall statue will be unveiled Wednesday at Applewood Estate.

That's where the Mott family once lived.

Wednesday would have been Ruth Mott's 110th birthday.

The metal abstract piece honors her memory and may be one of the largest in the area.
