Mark Abraitis accused of killing Francine Conversa-Redburn
SAGINAW COUNTY -- A Saginaw County man is headed to trial on first-degree murder charges.
Saginaw County prosecutors say 25-year-old Mark Abraitis put a gun to his girlfriend's head and pulled the trigger, killing her on April 25th, 2011.
Forty-eight-year-old Francine Conversa-Redburn's body was found in a ditch in Swan Creek Township.
During a preliminary hearing Thursday, Saginaw County Sheriff's detectives explained how they gathered evidence against Abraitis.
Abraitis was eventually charged with ten felonies, including first-degree premeditated murder.
Investigators say Abraitis also left a suicide note with a childhood friend, in which he confessed to the killing.
No trial date has been set.
