FLINT -- Tuesday, Flint voters will head to the poll and determine who should lead the city: current mayor Dayne Walling or opponent Darryl Buchanan.

The candidates have been squaring off at locations around the city ever since the primary election, and Monday morning during NBC25 Today each gave his last speech on why he thinks he’s the better leader.

Hanging on this election are the people’s hopes for a better economic outlook for the city and safer streets with less crime.

Mayor Dayne Walling says his vision for Flint is “new jobs, stronger neighborhoods, and public safety,” which he states are all in the future. You can read more about his goals and promises on his campaign website. You can see his interview from NBC25 Today monday in the video box below.

Darryl Buchanan’s campaign website says “it is time to change NOW.”  Among the issues he promises to address are the number of police on the streets, establishing a close relationship with city council, and the need for economic growth.  You can see his interview from NBC25 Today monday in the video box below.
