A homeowner in Carrollton Township is facing a complete loss after a fire Sunday afternoon.

It happened around 12:15 p.m.

Flames broke out at the home on Elm Street.

Fire fighters had to shut down the street so they could get a handle on the smoke and flames.

At first, there were reports elderly resident was trapped inside.

That was not the case.

He wasn't there at the time.

The high winds made it difficult for fire fighters to keep the flames from re-igniting.

Right now investigators are not sure what caused the fire.
