Time Magazine names 'The Protestor' as the Person of the Year

Picking up the latest copy of Times Magazine, you might find that “you” are the person of the year.

This year, Time Magazine announced live on the NBC Today Show that the “The Protestor” is their choice for “Person of the Year.”

The front cover of the magazine reads, “From the Arab Spring to Athens, From Occupy Wall Street to Moscow.”

In an interview, Managing Editor Richard Stengel tells Kurt Anderson, “not only did protest come back in this big, globally contagious way this year, but we are two regimes down and counting. There’s this incredible affect that makes it the biggest deal in the century in terms of this global sense of protesting against governments that are perceived as corrupt…”
