GENESEE TOWNSHIP -- Ted Bristol's home is attracting quite a crowd this holiday season. He has nearly 70,000 lights on his home that light up to music.

"Christmas was a big thing for me growing up and I'd like to create memories for other people," said Bristol.

Ted got the idea after seeing a show that featured homes that light up to music.

"I got online did some research figured out what I needed to get and what I needed to buy and went from there."

Ted says he has software that allows him to program the lights to light up to music. He also has software that allows him to broadcast his choice of music from 98.3 FM.

It takes Ted a little more than a week to synchronize the lights to one song.

"I just thought it was really amazing he could do all that and put all the lights together," said 13-year old Kevin Schilling, who has gone to the house several times this holiday season.

Ted has put on the light show for the last three years. In that time he said people kept wanting to donate money but he didn't want to take it. He and his wife picked the Genesee County Humane Society as the charity they wanted donations to go to. He says 100% of the money donated goes to the shelter.

Ted has a website now explaining the lights and how he does it.
