Saginaw police are investigating the murder of a 27-year-old woman on North Harrison.

Nelson was found dead in her home Thursday.  She was found when friends and neighbors called police to check on her welfare, saying they hadn't seen her for days.

This is the third homicide in Saginaw this year.  Two young men were found shot dead on Cherry Street last Saturday.

Neighbors tell NBC25 News this is an unnerving trend.

"Somebody just died.  Where's all the groups, where's all the people concerned about the crime in Saginaw?" said Rick Jeckel.

Joyce Green said, "When you get out of your car, you got to pray and hope you're walking in a house where you're along, 'cause you never know who's watching you - somebody's always walking."

The Michigan State crime lab is helping with the investigation.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to call Crime Stoppers.
