GENESEE COUNTY -- A female inmate has been found dead inside her cell at the Genesee County Jail.

Forty-two-year-old Angela Issa was found unresponsive around 2:30 pm Wednesday, according to Genesee County Undersheriff Chris Swanson.

Foul play is not suspected.

In December 2011, Issa was charged with armed robbery and murder in the 2004 death of Heidi Anderson in Flint Township.

"When she had first come to jail, she had been assessed by the medical team. There were other issues that we were treating with medication and hands on treatment as well, some counseling," said Genesee County Undersheriff Chris Swanson.
