GAINES TOWNSHIP -- The Genesee County Road Commission closed the intersection of Beers and Ray roads in Gaines Township after it flooded early Friday morning. 

Residents tell NBC25 it’s not a busy road, but they use it to get to U.S. 23, and that the flooding has become worse over the past couple of years.

The intersection remained blocked off at 8 p.m., with no word on when it would reopen.
