More information has been obtained about the shooting on Mabel Avenue early Monday morning.

A police report has indicated that the victim was a 63-year-old male who was shot in the knee area while he was sleeping, according to MLive.

Police were called to Mabel Avenue on the city's east side around 4:35 a.m. in response to a shooting to find the man bleeding from the leg.

Officers also reported several bullet holes in the front and side of the home and severals hell casings in the roadway and on the sidewalk.
