FRANKENMUTH, MI – The Frankenmuth Farmers Market excitedly announces its Wednesday Market will begin July 11 and run through September 19, 3-6pm in the parking lot of Frankenmuth Credit Union at 580 N. Main St.  This is the third year for the weekday Market, which supplements the 8am-2pm Saturday Market held in Downtown Frankenmuth.  The 3-6pm Wednesday Market features some of the same vendors as the Saturday Market but also adds a rotating roster of other farmers and producers.  Favorite finds last year included fresh fish and cheese. 

Market Mistress Laurajeanne Kehn reports: “In three short years, the success of our Wednesday Market has skyrocketed.  It is a fast-paced, no-frills, get-down-to-business Market that caters to people leaving work and those unable to attend our Saturday Market Downtown.  It doesn’t get fresher than this:  The produce was in the fields just an hour or two before the Market, and customers can serve it on their dinner table minutes later when they get home.  Fresh and local is really what it’s all about.  The produce doesn’t wait for the Market to ripen in the fields, so this really helps our farmers make the most of their harvest.  We’re very honored to host this Market at the Frankenmuth Credit Union after all they have done to support us and our community.”  Frankenmuth Credit Union sponsors Music at the Market in addition to providing volunteers to help set up and take down the Market every Saturday.
