As social media continues to be pushed into the forefront of society, we here at NBC25 will also try and provide the most interactive Olympic content as the London competition heats up.
Throughout the games, we will provide live tweeting as Team USA competes for medals.
While we can't tweet every event, we will try and provide live social media coverage of Team USA as they compete in men's basketball, women's basketball and women's soccer. We will also try and provide medal round coverage of the other major individual sports including swimming, track and field, and gymnastics.
We will be focusing our live tweeting efforts on events Team USA but will certainly take suggestions on events that might not be televised locally.
Please contact me via email at jsmith@nbc25.net or on twitter (@jaredleesmith) to suggest an event you'd like to see us feature via enhanced social media coverage.
