Saying no to same sex marriage

Marriage…Liberty…and Really Good Chicken. That's what a Corunna church leader is saying in his support of the head of Chick-fil-A. The company's President has come out against same sex marriage and that's drawn the ire of gay rights groups.

But not associate pastor Jason Georges of Corunna's Immanuel Baptist Church. He'll be serving Chick-fil-A this Sunday to support the company’s stand for "Biblical marriage and liberty". Recently Chick-fil-A has come under fire for comments made by their leadership supporting Biblical marriage as “one man, and one woman, for life.” This led to the mayors of Chicago and Boston threatening them.

Georges says, “the threats by these elected executives against Chick-fil-A is a great infringement upon liberty and should be responded to by all freedom-loving people.” Georges is also the head of a group called Bible Nation Society.

There's only one Chick-fil-A in Michigan, at Oakland University. It's only open during the school year.  So Immanuel Church will have Chick-fil-A Original sandwiches, coleslaw, and sweet tea trucked in for this special event.

Meals will be distributed on Sunday from 12:30 – 1:30 at Immanuel Baptist Church, 2680 E. M-21, Corunna MI 48817. The cost is $10 and will include a Chick-fil-A Original sandwich, Chick-fil-A coleslaw, chips, brownie and Chick-fil-A sweet tea.

Georges will appear on NBC 25 Today at 6:30 Friday morning. For more information you can contact him at
