A Flint group hit the street Saturday morning to learn what it is like to walk a mile in someone elses shoes.

Members of Hope Universal Life Church walked five miles from My Brothers Keeper Homless Shelter and back.

Walkers mades stops on the way to places that serve the homeless, like the North End Soup Kitchen.

"We just got all these different groups together to give Jesus the praise and to show the city that we do love the city and we are willing to walk in their shoes," said Bobby Jackson of the North End Soup Kitchen.

The Mission of Hope will also be repairing a home in Flint where homeless families can stay up to 40 to five days.
