SAGINAW -- Gun violence. Saginaw residents say its ripping through their community.

“You got people shooting each other in the street for no reason. You got crime all over the place. I don't even know where it all comes from," said Wade Tidwell of Saginaw.

Monday, two men were shot on Hampshire Street in Saginaw and Tuesday, three people were shot in two separate incidents. Residents say it makes them uneasy.

"You don't see nobody out now but you come here at night and it's a whole different story. It's almost like you don't want to come out of your house anymore," says Tidwell.

For Erika Hudson, the violence hits close to home. Her 12-year old cousin was the victim of a past shooting. “He was my cousin and I think that the violence do need to quit."

In the meantime, members of the Saginaw community want police to step up. “They say they got the cameras and they can see everything. Why can't they stop the violence,” says Hudson.

"We shouldn't have to be scared to go outside. You shouldn't be scared that somebody you know is going to get killed because they're going to the store. It doesn't make any sense to me," says Tidwell.

The shootings remain under investigation.
