SAGINAW -- The Saginaw Spirit hockey team is helping those in need this holiday season, but they could use your help to reach their goal.

The team has been working to fill up the shelves at the Saginaw City Rescue Mission.

The Spirit team bus visited Frankenmuth Insurance and collected nonperishable foods and gently used clothing.

"You take a look at the folks the rescue mission serves and this is the least we can do to help out the community," Spirit Marketing Coordinator Chuck Sheaffer said

On Fridaythe bus will depart for Saginaw Bay Underwriters on State Street in Saginaw.
