Merrill schools temporarily shut down due to bomb threat

MERRILL -- Merrill put their schools under lockdown today when a note threatening a bomb threat was found in a bathroom.

The note was found in the Merrill Community Schools Middle School.

All students were returned to their classrooms.

Police responded and searched all buildings, and found no evidence of a bomb.

The note was found around noon and by 1:30pm the school was given the all-clear by the police.

Police are still investigating who left the note at this time.
