DETROIT -- General Motors will be giving out profit sharing checks to its 49,000 hourly U.S. workers.

The checks will be up to $6,750.

This is a drop of about $250 compared to the last profit sharing checks.

Ford and Chrysler are also offering profit sharing to their workers.
