MIDLAND COUNTY -- The Band Perry is expected to perform at The Midland County Fair on August 12 at 7 p.m.

Kimberly, Neil, and Reid Perry are a sibling band from Mississippi that say family and music are very important to them.

"Daddy rocked us to sleep with the Rolling Stones; Mama woke us up with Loretta Lynn. So we get it honest," explained Kimberly.

In October 2010 they released their self-titled album, "The Band Perry."

It went platinum just one year after its release.

"If I Die Young", a number one hit single, was declared "Quadruple Platinum" by the RIAA after the track exceeded 4 million sales.

The band is now working on a second album, Pioneer, which is due out in April this year.

Tickets to see The Band Perry go on sale Thursday, March 21 at 9 a.m.
