First Gentleman Highlights Two Events for Big Brothers Big Sisters
You are invited today to help celebrate January as National Mentoring Month.
Big Brothers Big Sisters in the Heart of Michigan today is holding a reception at Midland's Dow Diamond. Michigan First Gentleman Dan Mulhern is a big brother himself, and leads the statewide Mentor Michigan program. He will be on hand at the Midland event from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
When he's finished there, Mulhern heads to Saginaw Township for a true "Taste of Michigan". That's the theme of the 10th Annual Charity Auction and volunteer appreciation evening to benefit the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Saginaw Bay Area. Celebrate the beauty and bounty of our great state by bidding on one of the many auction items donated by Michigan businesses, and help honor the people who make a difference in the lives of children.
NBC 25 Today's Kathy Hoekstra, and her huband Stan Parman, Program Director of radio station WHEELZ 104.5 are the guest emcees of the event. It starts at 6:00 p.m. tonight at the Horizons Conference Center along State Street in Saginaw Township. Tickets to the auction are $30/individual, $50/couple. To learn more call 1.989.755.6558 or visit the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Saginaw Bay Area website.
