The Sting took a 3-point lead with 11 seconds left in regulation to edge the Dayton Sharks 66-63 in the CIFL playoff opener.
Saginaw, who has won the last two CIFL championships, will continue their bid for a 3-peat against either Erie or Kentucky in the 2013 CIFL Championship game.
