Sophomore scores 25 points in 62-54 win
EAST LANSING (AP) -- Patrick Lucas-Perry scored 25 points and Patrick O'Brien added 12 points and 13 rebounds as Flint Powers Catholic beat previously undefeated Zeeland East 62-54 for the Class B title Saturday at Michigan State.
The Chargers (25-2) lost to Lansing Catholic in last year's title game, but took control this time with a dominant fourth quarter.
The teams traded leads over the first three periods, with neither team going up by more than five points. Powers led 42-39 going into the fourth, then scored the first 10 points of the final period, including a spectacular alley-oop dunk by Rodney Anderson.
The Chix, who came into the game 27-0, didn't score in the fourth until Lance Jongekrijg's layup made it 52-41 with 2:11 left.
