Tryouts held October 10-11
FLINT -- We are proud to announce that University of Michigan-Flint students will be competing against college competition this Fall/Winter.
With the UM-Flint's athletic feasibility report showing that basketball will be one of the first sports to be introduced to campus; tryouts will be held for students who would like to test their skills on a collegiate level.
Brandon Matthews, Oakland CC standout and area basketball coach, and Ervin Leavy will host the basketball tryout that will choose 15 players who will play and compete against NCAA and NJCAA basketball teams. The selection process be under the direction Matthews and Leavy as well as a coaching staff.
Tryouts will be held on October 10th from 4-6pm and October 11th 6-8pm at UM-Flint Recreational Center.
The team, currently not an official club under the University of Michigan-Flint transition process, first two games are at Rochester College Junior Varsity and at Schoolcraft Community College.
