Hawks win on the road, 50-38

NEW LOTHROP -- Defending Class C state champion Hamady had two players in double figures for scoring and blasted New Lothrop 50-38 Tuesday night in New Lothrop, as the Hawks avenged a loss to the Hornets back in January.

Amber Sammons had a game-high 14 points for New Lothrop, the defending champs in Class D.

The Hornets have moved up to Class C this season, so Tuesday's matchup was a potential state semifinal showdown.
