Melvindale ABT ends Bucs' run in Class C
EAST LANSING -- Mike Talley had 34 points and Melvindale Academy for Business and Technology routed Beecher 86-65 in the Class C semifinals Thursday afternoon in East Lansing.
D'Marius Houston had a team-high 19 points for the Bucs, who got into foul trouble early in the second half and never put together a serious rally.
"We're proud to be here. I'm proud of my kids, they fought to the end. And we lost to a great team. You know, they're the defending champions, and you gotta give them all the credit in the world. They came in, did what they had to do," said Beecher head coach Mike Williams, who received a technical foul in the second half after arguing a foul call.
