Wolves earn 4-1 win, but fall in District Finals versus Heritage

MIDLAND -- Midland Dow hosted Saturday's district finals in high school baseball, but any hopes of a trip to the regional tournament were dashed by a nearby foe.

After being held in check for five innings, the B.C. Central Wolves erupted for four runs in the sixth inning to erase a 1-0 deficit, and eventually go on for a 4-1 victory.

The Wolves advanced to the district title game, where they ran into a buzzsaw in the form of Saginaw Heritage.  The Hawks breezed to a 12-4 win to advance to the regional tournament.
