Former Grand Blanc star leads field by one stroke
BURTON -- Grand Blanc's Emmanuel Petrich turned in another even-par round of 72 at the IMA Brookwood Golf Club Saturday and leads the rest of the open division by one stroke entering the final round at the Genesee County Amateur.
Petrich has committed to play golf collegiately at Bethune-Cookman University in the fall.
John Whiting sits at one-over-par for the tournament, while Northwood golfer Matt Ostby enters Sunday five shots off the lead.
In the senior division, Jeff Barnes continues to separate himself from the field.
Barnes carded a one-under-par 71 on Saturday, and now holds a comfortable six shot lead over the rest of the senior golfers.
