Oilers improve to 2-0 with 28-7 triumph

MT. PLEASANT -- A blistering start by the Mt. Pleasant offense proved decisive on Friday night, as the Oilers raced out to a 21-0 lead in the first half over B.C. Central, en route to 28-7 triumph.

Oiler senior Ryan Heeke was a one-man wrecking crew in the first half.  The Mt. Pleasant senior caught a seven-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Ryan Elliott to open the scoring, then came back on the other side of the ball and intercepted a pass from Central's Jacob Lochinski to give the Oilers their second possession deep in Wolves' territory.

From there, Heeke struck again when he caught his second touchdown pass of the quarter, a 14-yard screen pass from Elliott, as the Oilers jumped out to a 14-0 lead and never looked back.
