Panthers prevail, 3-1; will meet Reese in regional final
NEW LOTHROP -- A setback in the second set proved only a temporary speedbump for the Nouvel C.C. volleyball team on Tuesday night, as they punched their ticket for a regional title game appearance in Class C.
After winning the opening set by a comfortable, 25-17 margin, the Panthers were drawn back to square one by a Marlette team which earned a 25-21 victory in the second set to even the match at one set apiece. But the final two sets belonged to Nouvel, which won the final two sets by identical margins of 25-21 to win the match, three games to one.
Next up for the Panthers is a date with Reese in a Class C regional title game on Thursday night.
