Young Hornets squad falls 51-29

NEW LOTHROP -- Arlesia Morse had 19 points and the two-time defending state champion Hamady girls basketball team blasted New Lothrop 51-29 Thursday night.

The game was a rematch of last year's Class C State Semifinals.  Hamady won that game by just five points, 48-43.

New Lothrop was hit hard by graduation following last season, and the Hornets have zero seniors on this year's roster.

Porsha Fluker added 16 points for the Hawks, who play Class A Arthur Hill on Saturday, in the James Monroe Girls Basketball Classic in Saginaw.
