Bears' high-flyer dazzled crowds for two years at JUCO level
FLINT -- Mott basketball fans knew the thrill-ride had to come to an end at some point, but at least Doug Anderson's next collegiate home will not be terribly far away.
After two seasons wearing a Bears uniform, Anderson will now don the colors of the University at Detroit-Mercy, as the Horizon League school won out for the Kalamazoo Central alum's services over nearby Oakland University.
The player who brought crowds to their feet with spectacular displays of dunking helped lead the Bears to the NJCAA Championship Game this season, where the Bears fell short against Lincoln. Nonetheless, Mott finished 33-3, as Anderson's profile continued to increase with his improved play and the Bears' runaway success.
