Bedwell homers in 10-7 victory
GENESEE TOWNSHIP -- The Bentley baseball team failed to score a run in the early game versus rival Genesee, but exploded on offense in game two, beating the host Wolves 10-7 on Tuesday night.
With the victory, the Bulldogs win 'The Battle of the Poo'.
"We had to come back for game two. We had a little battle called 'Battle of the Poo.' It's a little trophy that we battle with Genesee everyear. Since we came back and won the second game, they hold onto the poo for one more year," said Bentley senior catcher Tyler Bedwell, who homered in the game two win.
The Bulldogs led 10-3 heading to the bottom of the 7th inning, before Genesee rallied.
The Wolves got the potential game-winning run to the plate, but Aaron Andritsis got a key strikeout to end the game.
