NBA star plays in a charity golf tournament in Frankenmuth
FRANKENMUTH -- Former Arthur Hill and Michigan State Basketball star Jason Richardson returned to Mid-Michigan Wednesday to host his annual Golf outing.
The 8th annual event, which benefits The United Way of Saginaw County, was held at The Fortress Golf Course in Frankenmuth.
The former Spartan wasn't the only star on the course.
Former Detroit Lions running back Barry Sanders was on the links as well
With the NBA in a lockout, Richardson has focused his attention on a cause that hits close to home for him.
"I was one of those kids who played in those community centers that they give back to at Trinity and First Ward. I definitely think this is big because they don't just touch one area, they touch all areas of Saginaw County." says Richardson, who has played with four different teams in his ten year NBA carreer.
