A new head coach and a new season could be a recipe for success in 2011 for the Maze and Blue

ANN ARBOR -- Being one game over .500 might be looked at by some teams as an okay year, but for the University of Michigan, it's something they hope to not experience again in the near future.

The Wolverines finished the 2010 campaign with a record of 7-6, and a mediocre 3-5 mark in the Big Ten.

Last year also marked their third straight loss to in-state-foe Michigan State, and seventh straight loss to rival Ohio State.

Rich Rodriguez was relieved of his duties after three seasons.

With Brady Hoke at the helm, and his players ready to go, there is a new attitude and work ethic in Ann Arbor and that could spell success in 2011.

At media day in Ann Arbor Sunday, Hoke talked about what this season is about, "You know this is Michigan and there aren't going to be any excuses. If we don't win the Big Ten Championship, we've failed these kids as coaches. Our job is to put them in the greatest positions where they can have success," said Hoke.

Senior wide receiver Junior Hemingway, in talking about practice so far says,"Practice has been going good. We've been getting after it a lot and it's a constant grind. Coming out here everyday, getting in two-a-days, it's a constant grind, constant grind."
