Chemics girls' volleyball sweep Bay City Central Wolves

SAGINAW -- The Saginaw Valley Conference champion Midland Chemics opened girls' volleyball district playoffs with a 3-0 win over Bay City Central Tuesday night.

Midland swept the Wolves with scores of 25-18, 25-15 and 25-14.

Junior Tori Blake registered 11 kills in the Chemics playoff victory.

Mallory Rajewski also put up 37 assists and three kills of her own.

Midland's Alex Warner and Bay City Central's Saige Tomczak led all scorers with 12 digs.

Midland will move on to play Mt. Pleasant on Thursday.
