Saginaw hosts the Sting in Game Four of their best-of-seven series in the OHL playoffs

SAGINAW -- The Saginaw Spirit took to the ice today to iron out kinks in their attack, down 2-1 to the Sarnia Sting in the first round of the OHL Playoffs.

The Spirit find themseves down in a series they had a 1-0 lead in after two overtime losses, due to a few unlucky bounces and some lapses in concentration.

"You know what? That's playoff hockey," said Spirit head coach Greg Gilbert. "We knew it wouldn't be easy from day one. We had an opportunity to win both overtime games and didn't finish."

Even with the close losses, the players have maintained a confident attitude.

"if we win tomorrow, then it's a best-of-three series," said Brandon Saad, Spirit forward. "We've got to play better team defense. Goals are coming but we've got to keep them out of our net."

The Spiri will host the Sting tomorrow night at the Dow Event Center. Puck drop is at 7:11.
