CORNALL, ONTARIO -- Flint native Claressa Shields aced her first test of international competition in the ring over the weekend and won the 75-kilogram title on Saturday night in the American Boxing Confederation's Women's Elite Continental Championships.
She beat Canada's three-time world champion Mary Spencer, 27-14.
NBC25 will follow along with Shields as she attempts to qualify for the 2012 London Olympics this summer.
