FLINT -- In the third annual Border Gridiron Classic, the Beecher Bucs overcame a 14-6 second half deficit to beat Flint Northwestern 20-14 in overtime.
Beecher is now 2-1 all-time in the Classic, also winning in 2010.
At home, Davison outlasted Lapeer West 16-10 in overtime.
Out in Frankenmuth, the Eagles avenged last year's big loss to knock off Hemlock 28-14.
In Saginaw Township, Nouvel Catholic Central began its Division Seven title defense over Grosse Pointe Woods University Liggett 28-7.
