FLUSHING -- The last time the Flushing volleyball team lost a league game, it was 2006.
The Raiders were absolutely dominant in the Big Nine Conference, and that success has carried through to the Saginaw Valley League this season.
Flushing won the final seven Big Nine titles, and their last 54 league games before leaving for the SVL.
This year, they're 18-12-1 and still haven't dropped a league game.
When we stopped by practice Wednesday, The Raiders were working on transitions and serves, the fundamentals as Head Coach Shawn Andrews said.
Flushing is hoping to make it past regionals this year; last year they fell to Clarkston.
Andrews believes with her veteran squad, and they way they've developed this season, this is the year to do it.
"We play really well together," Senior Rebekah Kujat said. "Usually we either we play really well on defense or really well on offense, but lately, we've really put it all together and come together as a team."
"Every chance we get we're working on fine tuning and the fundamentals of the game," Head Coach Shawn Andrews said. "Our goal at the end of the year is to be playing our best volleyball.
