ALLEN PARK (AP) -- Louis Delmas and Cliff Avril were on the practice field Tuesday for the Detroit Lions, who come out of their open date looking like a pretty healthy team.

Jahvid Best still can't play, but he's eligible to come off the reserve-physically unable to perform list next week. Corey Williams, who is coming off knee surgery, stood off the to the side at the start of practice Tuesday, and tight end Brandon Pettigrew wasn't on the field at all during the portion open to reporters.

Coach Jim Schwartz didn't elaborate on Pettigrew's condition other than to say he's day to day.

Avril, a defensive end, left Detroit's loss to Minnesota two weekends ago with a back problem. Delmas, a defensive back, hasn't played this season because of left knee surgery.
