Swartz Creek's season ends; Montrose, Midland advance

SWARTZ CREEK -- The dream season for Swartz Creek ended in the district semifinal, losing to Caledonia 53-27.

The Dragons lost for the third straight time, including two regular season games after starting 7-0 and clinching its first playoff berth in school history for football.

Montrose scored a late touchdown and added an extra point as they beat Vassar in a defensive struggle 7-6.

The Rams will play MIllington in next week's Division SIx district final.

Midland blew out Marquette in Division Two, 42-7.

The Chemics' undefeated season remains intact as they will host Traverse City Central in the district final.
