Multiple crews respond to house fire in Taymouth Township

TAYMOUTH TOWNSHIP -- Multiple crews responded to a house fire on Saturday evening on Moorish Road in Taymouth Township.

The call came down to fire officials just after 6 p.m.

Three departments responded to the scene including Taymouth, Albree and Birch Run.

Officials believe the fire started in the kitchen and 45% of the house was burned int he balze.

There were no injuries reported and the residents were not home at the time of the fire.

On Sunday it was discovered that the house belonged to Thetford Township Police Chief Bob Kenny.

The community has responded with donations to help support the Kenny Family.
