SAGINAW -- It's one of the best rivalries in the state: the Hill versus the High.

The defending state champions, the Saginaw Trojans, came into the game 7-0 on a 17-game winning streak dating back to last season. The hosts, Arthur Hill, came into the game undefeated as well, looking for revenge on the Trojans who beat them twice last season, including for the district title.

Obviously Friday's match up would be a good one.

The two teams traded baskets in the first, with Saginaw leading 12-8.

The Lumberjacks outscored the Trojans in every quarter that followed, including scoring the final 22 of the 25 points in the game.

Arthur Hill snapped Saginaw's winning streak, and now holds the lead in the Saginaw Valley League with the 75-54 win.

Hamady hosted Atherton Friday night. The Hawks remained perfect, beating the Wolverines handily 77-41. Hawks are now 5-0 on the season.

Powers Catholic and first-year Head Coach Jeremy Trent traveled to Flint Northern Friday.

The Vikings win 67-36, behind Amariontez Ivory's 27 points.
