FLINT -- UAW Local 651 voted yes to authorizing a strike last night.
According to UAW 651 president, Art Reyes, this does not mean there will be a strike.
The UAW is hoping the strike authorization will pressure GM during contract negotiations.
72% of the membership voted "yes" on the authorization vote.
The union has been operating without a contract for two years.
Local 651 represents about 850 workers at the Flint Delphi Electronics East.
