FENTON -- Michigan residents are raising money for the Michigan Special Olympics by plunging into Lake Fenton.

The Fenton Moose Lodge on Sonora Drive housed those willing to take the leap for a good cause.

Plunger Bard Scott is jumping for the Marion Cross Instructional Center, it's his first year but he says he loves doing things for the children.

"It is for teh kids, I want to do it for the special needs kids. It is a great way to raise money for them and the special olympics so I work with them a lot and I like to do it for them," said Scott.

Hundreds turned out in costumes and team colors including onlookers scattered across Lake Fenton.
