ARGENTINE TOWNSHIP -- A Genesee County family is safe after an attic fire Monday evening.

Firefighters from multiple departments responded to a home on Smith Road off Seymour Road in Argentine Township around 6:45 p.m.  They had the fire under control about two hours later.

The roof sustained some damage, but no one was hurt.

Two boys were home at the time the fire started.  They were reunited with their mom and sister.  Firefighters were also able to save the family's two dogs and a bearded lizard.
