FLINT -- In a trend that is no doubt welcome news for consumers, gas prices in the Flint area have dropped 13.3 cents per gallon in the past week, according to GasBuddy.
GasBuddy says the national average has gone up 2.9 cents, in contrast to the drop locally.
Even with the drop, however, gas prices are still 10.8 cents higher per gallon then at this same time last year and 39.4 cents per gallon higher then last month in the Flint area.
