Mott mashes Macomb for 17th straight win

FLINT -- Behind a career-night from freshman center Coreontae DeBerry, the Mott Bears defeated Macomb Community College 87-55 at Ballenger Fieldhouse Wednesday night.

 

DeBerry finished the night with a career-high 26 points after scoring the first three baskets for Mott. He added eight rebounds.

 

Sophomore forward Fred Mattison went for 16 points and eight rebounds. Freshman guard Malik Albert was held scoreless but dished out a career-high 13 assists.

 

The Bears improved to 22-1 (12-0 in MCCAA) and are the number one-ranked team in the NJCAA. They will travel to Wayne County Community College on Saturday, February 9.
